When people talk about bear archery products, they inevitably get to talk about the Bear Archery brand. Even if it sounds odd, the greatest producer of modern bows and arrows for bear hunting was Fred Bear, an American who has started making archery equipment in his basement and has become, in less than 20 years, the most innovative bows and related equipment producer. All this was happening back in the ’30s but Bear’s company has managed to keep up with the new technologies and be the top hunting equipment seller in the U.S. at the moment.

The producers of Fred Bear archery hunting equipments were the first to use fiberglass for bear archery bows and they’re continuously innovating their products, even if the founder of the brand died in 1988. People who continue his work use to say that his message remained alive among them: “it’s all about the hunt. Your hunt!”

Bear archery bows are designed for all hunting lovers, from children (age range is 8 and up) to professionals. The best choice for a kid who wants to practice archery is a Brave 2 Bow Set. Its dimensions are: 30″ (axle to axle), 20-22″ (for length), 17-22lb (for weight), 7″ (brace height). The letoff is of 65% and the bow also has strong composite limbs and riser. The company’s policy is to give everyone, regardless the age, a chance to develop their potential and skills by using high-quality professional products.

There are a lot of choices for experienced hunters or shooters as well. For example, The Bear Assault is perfect for those who want something fast and efficient, with a smooth draw. Moreover, the company has a lot of advancements done for this bow which is shorter and more maneuverable than others. Not to mention its efficiency: 328 FPS.

For those who want a more traditional model of bows, there are ten different options. The most expensive of these can reach $1,500 and it’s thought to be the best traditional bow ever done by the company. The TakeDown Supreme, as it is called, has 60 inches, it’s made of exotic hardwoods and it’s sold along with a crowned shelf, an inlaid compass and some specific latches that actually make it be a very special, even legendary, recurve.

Fred Bear archery hunting limbs are world known for their durability and strength. The compression molded limbs put more energy into the bow during draw and easily transfer it to the arrow, making it incredibly efficient. They’re made of uncut fibers and that actually lifts them above all other laminated or pultruted models existing on the market at the moment. For people who have discovered their passion for hunting and feel like starting to practice it, the Bear archery products are the best choice, regardless the price, because, as Fred Bear himself used to say: “It’ not about the hype or high cost – it’s about the hunt!”.

There are many different features of foam archery targets that make them an effective practice tool. In order to become more accurate in archery, a person needs to practice. Hitting an archery target face is not an easy task and it requires a great amount of practice. Most highly skilled archers use targets in order to increase their ability and accuracy. The targets are used by hunters and those engaged in the competitive sport. Both groups benefit from using an archery target face for practice.

The foam target has several advantages that should be considered by users. The first is that foam targets are relatively inexpensive. The low price means that any archer from young to old, inexperienced to master can obtain one. As a person spends a lot of time practicing archery, they will undoubtedly put a lot of holes in the target and the arrows may not stick as well after a while. Therefore, the foam target is easily replaced when a person needs a new one.

Foam targets are also very practical for use because they do not damage the arrows. When an arrow hits a target, is tends to penetrate part way through the target.Since it is easy to pierce the foam, the arrows are not damaged when this occurs. Therefore, the arrows can be retrieved relatively unscathed and reused. Other types of targets can destroy the tips of the arrows, which prevents them from flying properly and in a straight line. That is why the foam helps an archer save on arrows by preventing a person from having to continue to buy new arrows.

Since the foam archery target stand has to hold a small amount of weight, foam targets are quite portable and can be used in many different locations. This allows archers to move their targets with relative ease in order to practice in different locations or set up for difficult shots. This portability is very practical for those who enter competitions in different areas and need to practice wherever they are located. They can also be set up in hunting environments or carried long distances due to their lightness.

There are also 3d archery targets available. These multidimensional targets simulate the hunting experience much better than traditional targets. Many of them look very similar to the real items and therefore provide a great practice target. They can also be placed in strategic locations in order to practice in the hunting environment. Bow hunting requires very accurate placement of the arrow in the animal and 3d archery targets are the best way to practice shoot game. Because of all of these advantages of foam archery targets, they should be used by any archer who is serious about his or her sport.

The newest Scott archery release aids have been designed with the serious archer in mind. They incorporate several new technique advancements and features that provide for a clean release of the bow string. The release is the last part of the archery motion and the most important part of shooting an arrow. Anyone can pull a string back and release an error, but only highly skilled archers can do so without causing the string to veer in abnormal directions. That is why even the best archers use release aids in stabilize their release and increase the accuracy and distance of the arrows they release.

The newest carter archery releases are ergonomically designed so that they fit in the palm of the hand. There are specific indentations for each of the fingers so that the release aid is properly cradled. In between the index and middle finger is the metal string holder and release. The string sits behind the little metal finger until the time for release. When this occurs the metal finger rotates on its axis to let the string go. Since the metal finger rotates to the same direction and with the same speed every time, the reliability of the releases is increased so that the accuracy can be improved.

Releases can come in several different styles. They can be triggered in several ways. Some back tension archery releases are triggered by a certain pressure. When the tension gets to a specific level, the metal finger is released. This also allows for increased accuracy and performance of the bow as each string is released with the same tension. This makes the arrows all fly at a similar speed with the same amount of recoil from the bow. The arm of the archer can then become accustomed to the specific amount of the strength and tension required. Some of the releases are adjustable, which then allows the tension setting to be changed depending on the present conditions and the situation in which the archer finds himself. For example an archer may want to release at one tension for a competition and at another when hunting. In this way an archery back tension release can accommodate many different usage situations.

The thumb trigger release has been a popular option on release aids. This allows the string to be released in a manner that prevent excess motion and helps with accuracy. The thumb triggers will only release when pressed, unlike some of the tension releases. That allows for a wide variety of different strengths and tensions when engaging in archery. The thumb triggers tend to be used more in hunting, while tension releases are more popular in certain competitions where you want to regular the power that is applied to the arrow each time very consistently. With the thumb trigger, you can release whenever you want, making quick releases much easier. All of this equipment is available to test in a local hunting and fishi

For those people who have always wanted to practice archery, but have never known where to start from, the best way to do it is to learn what the compound archery bows are, when should they use them and in which way they’re different from the other existing types.

The archery compound bow (also known as “composite bow”) is one of the most popular types of bows in the U.S. because it’s modern and it’s based on a levering system to flex the limbs. Usually cables and pulleys are used as levers. The thing that makes an archery compound bow so special is the energy effectiveness and the huge let-off to the force applied on the string. The explanation lies in the form of the limbs, which are stiffer than the ones of a recurve bow or a classical longbow. When the user draws the string, he makes the pulleys connected to it to turn and pull the cables, which will cause the limbs to flex and store a good part of the energy. The let-off can be up to 99%, which is a true performance for the compound bow archery.

The compound bows archery has also revolutionized the world of raw materials. The limbs are made of composite materials (in order to be able to store the energy), the central riser is made of aluminium or magnesiun (has to be very rigid) and the string and cables are made of polyethylene (great resistance to tension).

Moreover, this type of bow is more accurate than the other bows and it’s not sensitive to humidity or temperature changes. Another advantage is the rubber covered blocks in the pulley system that has the role of draw-stopping – an anchor point for the archer and another source of energy for the arrow. Compound bows archery uses a mechanical release aid for the string, enabling the archer to release it as fast as a trigger pull. The mechanical release aid gives more consistency to the release process than the fingers release. Comparing to other bows, the compound ones are allowed to use a magnifying sight during tournaments. It also has great stabilizers and dumpers.

There are also some circumstantial disadvantages, like an increased sensitivity of the compound bow archery to some form faults when the user is at full draw. This happens mainly because of the low holding weight.

As far as arrows are concerned, they don’t differ a lot from the ones used with recurve bows and are made of alluminium, or carbon or a combination of these to make it resistant enough to the great forces a compound bow can release. In conclusion, in terms of accuracy and energy effectiveness, the compound archery bows are the best choice for both the beginners (it gives more time to aim) and professionals (great speed, great force, great results).

There are many different archery sights that people can use to improve their aim with a bow and arrow. If you are bowhunting or shooting competitively, an aiming point or a sight will increase the ability to shoot effectively. The sight gives a point of reference to target the arrow. Then can also help to target at specific distances. Keep in mind that accuracy is based upon practicing proper form, proper tuning of equipment, a consistent anchor point. Without these fundamentals the sight is not going to be very effective.

The archery peep sight is a small hard plastic device that fits within the bowstring. They can be used with other types of sights or by themselves. It only takes a minute to put in place. The archery peep sight can make a huge difference. The peep sight ensure that you consistently line up the sight pin each time you shoot. New archery bow sights are effective by themselves and do not require the peep sight.

There are three major components of archery bow sights. The first is a mounting bracket or extension device. This functions to attach the sight to the bow. The second is the pin guard or sight body and the third a sight mechanism. The mechanism is usually one or more pins or even a colored dot for aiming at game or specific targets. Usually there are also elevation and windage adjustments included to allow for the fine tuning of the pins to increase accuracy at a distance.

The archery sight pin is the most popular and most widely used style of sight. These sights usually have two mounting options. They can either use a hard mount or a dovetail system. The dovetail has a two-piece mounting bracket. There are the metal bracket, which attaches directly to the riser and the sight bracket, which holds the sight body. The sight bracket can easily attach or detach as necessary for adjustments. There are many different materials used for sight guards. Sight guards can be made from polymer, polycarbonate, machined aluminum or even other metals that are durable and rugged.

The archery laser sight runs on batteries and offer the advantages of peepless sighting. They provide maximum brightness to create clear and accurate shooting to extended yardages. Most of these are beyond the normal range for hunting. These systems are heavier and bulkier, which adds weight that is undesirable for hunting. When hunting, batteries have to be checked regularly to avoid a loss of power. Therefore target shooters may favor these sights. But they certainly are effective for hunting, though one needs to check the regulations and legalities before heading into the woods.

All types of sights can help to increase accuracy when hunting. The different models have features that create slight differences between them. The hunter just needs to figure out which archery sights work best for him or her.

The history of archery bows begins somewhere in the late Paleolithic period. It seems to have been used by a German population for the first time, in Europe and it was made of pine. The first type of bows had a main and a fore shaft with a flint point. The bows usage has been extended toward Egypt and further on time to Assyrians, Persians, Indians, Koreans, Chinese, Japanese, Hungarian and Parthian communities.

The invention of the fire guns has greatly influenced the decline of the bow as a war weapon. Despite being a widespread hobby and high class activity in England, Korea China and other countries, the archery bow hunting has been almost completely replaced by firearms. Nowadays, people use bows and arrows only in specific competitions and for hunting in some areas.

The first bowhunting club was founded in the ’60s in the U.S. and it was meant to promote quality and responsible chase and hunting practices. The commercial production of archery and bow equipment has started in the late ’30s with Bear Archery Company, the leader on the archery products market until nowadays. The bows have been diversified, from simple ones to archery recurve bows, from pine to fiberglass and so on.

Even if there is a wide variety of models and types of bows, the main elements of them are the two elastic limbs that have a string attached to them. The limbs actually store the mechanical energy produced by the archer when drawing the string. There are two main types of bows, the ones that use a mechanism to pull the string and the ones who use the users’ force to draw it.

Based on more detailed criteria, there are further classifications that can be done. For example, considering the limb shape when unstrung, there are simple straight bows and archery recurve bows. These lasts have some tips that curve away from the user when the bow is unstrung. Another criterion is the cross-section of the limb, which splits the bows into two categories: the classic longbow (flat, wide, D-shaped limbs) and the flatbow (flat, wide, rectangular limbs).

The compound bow is very popular in the archery and bow professional field. It is built to decrease the force a man is required to apply in order to fully draw the string and it gives more time to aim to the archer. The performances of this bow can go as far as 99% let-off. In the U.S. this is the most used bow at the moment.

The bows that use a mechanism to draw the string usually have a stock, like the crossbow. Archery bows have had an interesting evolution so far and innovation and creativity seem not to be over in this domain yet, even if the bow is no longer a defense mean, but an outdoor activities tool.

When it comes to archery, choosing a bow might be a matter of price or lack of experience, but the archery arrows must be perfect in order to supplement and complete a bow’s weaknesses. The first question someone should ask before choosing arrows is what is he/she going to use the bow for: hunting, tournaments or target-shooting.

Arrows for archery can be made of:

Wood – the first arrows used by the human being were made of wood and they were used for a number of things. Today, wooden arrows are mostly preferred when it comes to longbow tournaments or beginners exercises. Their main disadvantage is that they’re sensitive to shocks and they easily break-up; there are also some differences between the weight and the shape of this kind of arrows that prevent from obtaining consistent results. However, being quite cheap, they’re useful for practice.

Fiberglass – A more suitable material for a hunter nowadays. Fiberglass arrows are more consistent and uniform that the wooden ones. They’re also adaptable to the archers’ strength and length. However, they’re still breakable and have to be replaced quite often.

Aluminium – aluminum could be used for archery target arrows as their consistency and reliability are higher than in wood or fiberglass. They can be built in different sizes and types and their arrowheads can be transferred from one to another. Their durability makes them perfect for hunting or competing, but only if used by professionals; the costs are quite elevated and usually a beginner can’t afford buying too many of them.

Carbon – These are definitely the best type of arrows for archery existing on the market. Carbon archery bows and arrows are the choice a serious archer would make if asked. Their speed and durability cannot be compared with anything else. Because of the way they’re done (a shell of carbon around an aluminium core), makes them more resistant and increases their endurance in time. They’re not the most suitable archery target arrows, because when they’re struck (like in a target) their shell/wrapping might break-down. The main disadvantage of this type of arrows is definitely the price, as it is too high to be affordable for everyone.

When choosing arrows, one should be also attentive to fletches. They’re mainly built of plastic, feathers or just a synthetic material. Their role is to give the arrow stability and increase speed. Another important detail about arrow is the point, measured in grains. Each archer chooses a certain point, according to his purposes: target shooting (lighter points), hunting (heavier points).

Of course, a professional would choose a carbon archery bow and arrows, but beginners can make good choices as well, if they know what their aim is. If the budget for the bow is rather modest, then the archer should focus on buying archery arrows of a higher quality, made of the most suitable material for their activities.

There are many different brands and styles of archery hunting equipment. The different bows have advanced greatly over the last several years and much of the newest equipment features high strength fiberglass and carbon fiber components. People now have the option of using equipment that is much lighter and stronger than available before. This allow hunters to hold positions better and longer than was previously possible. This can dramatically improve the accuracy and distance of the arrows, making for much better hunting. Several accessories have also made hunting much more fun by reducing the level of difficulty while increasing the performance. These include custom releases that improve how the bow string leaves the fingers as well as custom sights that allow a hunter to see and aim on the target.

The archery bow has been the target of most of the innovation in the sport. Bows now come in several general types. The traditional single bows are now available with high tensile fiberglass and carbon fiber components that allow for improved flexibility. In a simple bow, all of the power is developed from the strength of the hunter when he or she pulls the string back. This is how bows have been used for hundreds of years and is the preferred choice of traditional hunters. The compound archery bow started to dominate the market in the 1950s when new materials and plastics became available. The compound bow uses a system of pulleys and a much longer string that is wrapped around the pulleys. This allows for the multiplication of the force on the arrow without increasing the requirement to pull the string back. Therefore the arrows can fly much faster and farther with a compound bow. These are not your fathers archery hunting equipment pieces.

The compound bow is the dominant method of hunting bear. Since it is difficult to pierce the tough skin of a bear, arrows must fly at high speed and with enough weight and kinetic energy to put the bear down. This can sometimes require bear archery hunting accessories. They range from specially tipped arrows that can penetrate the skin to high magnification sights that allow for more accurate sighting of the bear from a greater distance. These bear archery hunting accessories can make it safer to hunt a bear and have a more effective hunt and actually kill.

The arrows are now made of many different types of materials. Since the new bows are able to hold so much force, regular arrows can actually be shattered by the force of the string on the arrow. That is why there are now aluminum and other metal alloy arrows. These are slightly more expensive but last longer than other types. People still use wooden arrows for practice as they can be less expensive. Carbon fiber and fiberglass arrows are also on the market for people to use in different hunting and practice situations. All of the different items can be purchased at a hunting store, allowing for a hunter to compare products and know what the best archery hunting equipment is to be purchased.
